A freight pounds north through Helensburgh

As close to an aerial shot as possible at the turn of the 20th Century.

Looking south towards Tunnel No 4, we see a short freight train pulling through the tight confines of the original Helensburgh station.

Note the cattle pens and small freight shed to the left of the train and string of wagons. Tunnel No 3 is almost immediately beneath the photographer.
